polara labs

since high school i have wanted to build something of my own, and what i was after was never really a job. it was the independence of it, making something out of nothing and working for myself, free to chase a goal that i set, and that is most of what i actually stand for.

this is how polara labs went from nothing, through failing at it many times over, to something people pay for.

the timeline

  1. jul 2024

    startup school

yc runs a free one day conference in san francisco, and that was the day i understood that whatever is happening in texas is a fraction of what is happening out here. i spent it in a room full of the most ambitious people i had ever met, and i have not been able to see it any other way since.

  2. jun 2025

    ai startup school

yc ran their first one that june, and i was handpicked for it and flown out. that was the trip that actually did it, because i came home knowing i was going to start the company.

  3. 2025 to 2026

    built the platform

i spent about a year building most of polara, and that year was made of long calls with advisors, partnerships i put together one at a time, and the foundation that the entire product still sits on.

  4. apr 2026

    startup grind

1876 ventures flew me out to san francisco for startup grind, where i stayed with a friend who works at aws and pitched every day of it. my first warm connections came the unglamorous way, sitting outside the conference with a sign and introducing myself to whoever stopped, and those are the conversations that turned into my first clients.

  5. summer 2026

    the summer i stayed home

i spent june through august on the product full time, closing the first clients and putting in the groundwork that the company runs on now. it is also the summer i started polara enterprise, a second branch built for the firms doing the auditing rather than the startups getting audited.

  6. now

    balancing it

i am running polara alongside school and the rest of my life, and aiming it at something considerably bigger than what it is today.

in progress

  • project ascension

research harnesses for ai, meaning the scaffolding you need to run a model against real work and measure what actually happened rather than against a benchmark. i am building it with professor ulisses braga-neto at texas a&m, and project ascension is an internal name for now.

  • cyber software

a separate cybersecurity company that i am building in partnership with raj, still early enough that both the name and the shape of it are a work in progress.
